How to insert the fuel cell into the fastening tool. Correct installation of the gas fuel cell is essential for stable operation of the tool and a tight seal. Incorrect installation can lead to gas leakage, incomplete opening of the valve or damage to the tool's locking mechanism.
Procedure:
Preparation. Make sure the tool is unloaded, there are no fasteners in it and the battery (if fitted) is disconnected. Work in a dry room or under a canopy so that no moisture gets into the valve assembly.
Inspecting the fuel cell. Before installing, check the cell body for dents, bulges or signs of corrosion. The valve must be clean, dry and free of oil and mechanical damage. Never use a damaged fuel cell.
Opening the fuel compartment. Flip open or slide the handle cover of the tool according to the manual for your model.
Inserting the cell. Insert the fuel cell into the handle valve first (downwards). Do not use excessive force. The cell should slide in freely, without tilting.
Locking. Close the handle cover until it clicks. As it closes, the tool's mechanism pierces the cell valve — this is normal. You may hear a brief hiss, which stops once the pressure has equalised.
Check. After closing the cover, run your hand along the housing joints. No smell of gas and no hissing means the connection is tight.
