The NEO temperature estimating device (pyrometer) (ref. no. 75-275) is used to measure the surface temperature of an object with an accuracy of +/- 1,5%+1,5 °C in the range -50 – 400 °C. It can be used to estimate the temperature of various hot, dangerous or hard-to-reach objects without contact. This device consists of optics and a temperature sensor, and includes a signal amplifier, processing circuit and LCD display. The optics collect the infrared energy emitted by the object and focus it on the sensor. The sensor converts the energy into an electrical signal, which is displayed as a digital reading. The device operates without contact. Measurement is made in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, and the result is shown on a colour LCD display. The pyrometer is powered by two AAA batteries. The device is not a medical device.
