DP-6820 painting equipment repair kit.
Painting equipment item DP-6820 is a diaphragm sprayer. The repair kit for this equipment includes:
The diaphragm (membrane) is made of special plastic and has a shank. A nut and a spring are located on the diaphragm shank, pressing the diaphragm against a metal support washer. The condition of the diaphragm must be checked regularly, since it is subject to significant loads during operation. If the diaphragm ruptures, oil from the piston cavity will enter the paint section and then, through the paint hose and gun, onto the surface being painted. Paint may enter the pump's hydraulic system. It is recommended to always have a spare diaphragm.
inlet valve.
The paint enters the paint section through the inlet valve.
The valve seat and cone are made of wear-resistant materials. The seat is press-fitted into the cone. The cone is soldered to the stem. The valve body is sealed with a plastic ring. If the valve is heavily contaminated and flushing does not help, the valve must be disassembled for cleaning. To disassemble the valve, unscrew the clamping nut (on the stem, shown by the arrow in the figure). After removing the nut, the valve can be disassembled and flushed. Reassemble in reverse order and check operation. When preserving the sprayer for storage, pour a small amount of oil into the valve after first pressing the stem.
Outlet valve. Paint passes through the outlet valve into the paint hose and then into the gun. The valve has a seat and a ball made of wear-resistant materials. The seat is press-fitted into the clamp. A spring support is located in the valve between the spring and the ball. The seat is secured with a retaining ring. The valve is sealed with plastic and rubber O-rings. If the valve is heavily contaminated, it must be disassembled for cleaning. To clean the valve, remove the retaining ring, take out the seat, ball, spring and support, and clean them. Reassemble the valve in reverse order. Take care when installing the valve into the housing (do not force the valve when screwing it in, as the thread in the housing may be damaged). If necessary, lubricate the thread with oil. When putting the sprayer into storage, it is recommended to lubricate the valve with oil.
